GoViral looking for creative PHP-developer
The Company
GoViral is a Danish media company with branch offices in London, Hamburg and Copenhagen. We have clients from all over the world, because we have put something as complex as digital brand activation in system. This is our specialty. It's a tremendous task to do with millions of websites, thousands of advertisers and hundreds of clients. That's the challenge and we have succeeded.
The Job
Most of our applications are built in PHP over a MySQL database, so these should be your primary strength. We handle enormous amounts of data every day, why the handling should be kept as swiftly and without problem as possible. Therefore, a natural flair for simplifying and effectiveness is a must. You will be part of a development team of 3 people in Copenhagen and 3 people in an off-shore development house in Egypt.
We are using Extreme Programming, where communication, openness and discipline are necessary to keep all our projects and initiatives on track. You will be developing product for colleagues sitting right next to you, so an extroverted nature and willingness for dialogue about the tasks is absolutely necessary.
You can probably answer yes to most of the following points:
- I have minimum 4 years of experience with object oriented PHP and MySQL.
- Preferably insights in Actionscript and Flash, but not a requirement.
- Confident in HTML, CSS, Javascript and XML.
- I know more than the average about, what's happening on and the potential of the Internet
- My English is perfect in writing and speech.
- I would rather ask once too many than not at all.
- I have a strong self discipline and take honour in doing my job with a high level of quality.
- I thrive in a dynamic environment.
- I pay attention to detail.
- I have experience working with marketing and web.
